Stadiumi Qemal Stafa

Stadiumi Qemal Stafa is a stadium in Tirana, named after Qemal Stafa, a Second World War hero. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 19 000 seats and is currently used by the Albanian national football team and KF Partizani Tirana, one of Albania's top teams. Under the communist regime, all the sports clubs were owned by the Albanian state. KF Partizani Tirana was run by the Ministry of Defense, from its foundation until 1990. Its main rivals were KS Dinamo Tirana, run by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and KF Tirana, run by the Tirana City Hall.
