Docklands Stadium

Docklands Stadium, also known as the Telstra Dome, is a stadium in the Docklands precinct of Melbourne. The stadium was opened in March 2000 as the Colonial Stadium and was developed as a replacement for Waverley Park. It is used as the home ground for the Melbourne Victory FC games in the A-League, the highest football league in Australia. The stadium is also used by Australian football clubs. Docklands Stadium has also been host to other sporting events, including cricket and rugby. It has a retractable roof above the playing surface and it takes eight minutes to fully open or close.
