Sydney Football Stadium

The Sydney Football Stadium, formerly known as Aussie Stadium between 2002 and 2007, is located in Moore Park, Sydney. It was built in 1988 to be the premium rectangular field for rugby. The stadium is used for football too, former Oceanian champions Sydney FC is one of the tenants. Sydney FC won the inaugural A-League championship. The capacity of the stadium is 45 000, making it one of the largest stadiums in Oceania. Argentinian superstar Diego Maradona played at the Sydney Football Stadium for the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Australia in which the match was drawn 1-1.
