Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion
The Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion is a football stadium in Hütteldorf, in the west of the capital Vienna. It is the home ground of SK Rapid Wien. It is on of the two best known football sides in Vienna, the other being SK Rapid Wien's arch rival, FK Austria Wien. The stadium was officially opened in 1977 as Weststadion. In 1980 it was renamed, to honor the legendary Austrian football player Gerhard Hanappi. Among fans the stadium is also known as Sankt Hanappi, which relates to the fans' slogan: Rapid is our religion. Its capacity of 18 000 makes it one of the largest stadiums in Austria.
