Hypo Group Arena
The Hypo Group Arena is a football stadium in Klagenfurt. It is the home ground of SK Austria Kärnten. The club's old stadium, known as the Wörtherseestadion, was built in 1960 and had a capacity of 10 000. It was demolished in 2005 and replaced by the new Hypo Group Arena, for UEFA Euro 2008. The stadium can hold 32 000 spectators, making it the biggest stadium in Carinthia. The official opening was in September 2007 and hosted a friendly between the national football teams of Austria and Japan in front of 26 000 spectators.
