Cristal Arena
The Cristal Arena is a football stadium in Genk. It is the home ground of KRC Genk, one of the most successful football clubs from Belgium. The stadium holds 24 000 and was built in 1999. Beringen-Heusden-Zolder used to play at the stadium for their single season at the top level. After their relegation, KRC Genk became the only tenant of the stadium again. Following the relegation of the club, it moved to Beringen.
Before 2007 the stadium was known as the Fenixstadion. Cristal Alken, a Belgian beercompany, has bought the name of the stadium for several years.
