Estádio Serra Dourada

Estádio Serra Dourada is a football stadium in Goiânia. It has a maximum capacity of 54 000 people and is the home ground of Goiás EC and Vila Nova FC. Estádio Serra Dourada was inaugurated in March 1975. It was one of the venues of the 1989 Copa América. The stadium was also the neutral ground used in the 1981 Copa Libertadores group stage replay match between CR Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro, in which CR Flamengo was declared the winner by CONMEBOL, after five Atlético Mineiro players were sent off by referee José Roberto Wright. The attendance record stands at 79 000, set in the first match in 1975.
