Carrow Road
Carrow Road is a stadium in Norwich. It is the home ground of Norwich City FC. The ground's capacity is currently 26 000.
Carrow Road was opened in 1935 after Norwich City FC
moved from their dilapidated previous ground, fittingly named the Nest on Rosary Road. It became the third ground that the club had inhabited since their inception in 1902.
The first competitive match at Carrow Road ended in a 4-3 victory against West Ham United FC in August 1935. The first competitive goal was scored by Norwich City FC's Doug Lochead in that game.
The record attendance for a home game at the stadium was 43 000 in 1963, versus Leicester City FC in the sixth round of the FA Cup.
