The Hawthorns
The Hawthorns is a football stadium in West Bromwich and is the home of West Bromwich Albion FC. During the early years of the club, West Bromwich Albion FC led something of a nomadic existence, playing at five different grounds in a 22-year period. After this period, the club moved to The Hawthorns in 1900. It was the last Football League ground to be opened in the 19th century. Today, it is a 28 000 capacity all-seater stadium, making it the biggest stadium in West Bromwich. The record attendance was 64 000 in a FA Cup match between West Bromwich Albion FC and Arsenal FC in March 1937.
