Wildparkstadion
The Wildparkstadion is a football stadium located in Karlsruhe, with a capacity of 32 000. It is the home of the football club Karlsruher SC. The famous goalkeeper Oliver Kahn started his career at Karlsruher SC. He is one of the most successful German players, having won several German championships and international tournaments. The Wildparkstadion is located northeast of the Karlsruhe castle and is located in part of the former deer park, also known as the Wildpark, of the Grand Dukes of Baden in the Hardtwald. There have been football fields at the location since 1922. The stadium was built later, in 1955, with several major renovations since.
