Estadio Tiburcio Carias Andino
Estadio Tiburcio Carias Andino is a stadium in Tegucigalpa. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 35 000 people and it is the home of CD Motagua and CD Olimpia, two of the most successful football clubs in the country. The main stadium in Tegucigalpa was built during the administration of dictator Tiburcio Carias Andino. In 1981 the stadium hosted six CONCACAF nations for the 1982 FIFA World Cup qualifying games. These were the national football teams of Canada, Cuba, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, and Mexico.
