Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia

Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia is a stadium in Bergamo, used by Atalanta BC and UC AlbinoLeffe. It has a 24 000 capacity and is seen by many to be outdated and not up to standard for professional football matches due to poor facilities, poor views from a number of stands and because most of the stadium has no roof. A new stadium will be built soon in Bergamo. Atalanta BC is known as Regina delle Provinciali, the Queen of the Provincial Clubs, to mark the fact that the club is historically one of the best among non-metropolitan ones. Atalanta BC's supporters are considered very loyal. When the club plays at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, the supporters in the Curva Nord usually encourage the team with their chants during the entire match. On special occasions Atalanta BC supporters display a large black and blue flag called Bandierone which covers the whole Curva Nord stand.
