Nagai Stadium
Nagai Stadium is a football and athletics stadium in Osaka. It is the home ground of Cerezo Osaka, one of the major sports clubs from the city. The capacity is 50 000, making it the biggest stadium in Osaka.
Nagai Stadium opened in 1964, its capacity was 23 000, and the opening game was a football match at the 1964 Summer Olympics. The capacity expanded to 50 000 in 1996 and hosted three matches during the 2002 FIFA World Cup: Nigeria versus England, Tunisia versus Japan, and Senegal versus Turkey. Nagai Stadium also hosted the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.
