Tokyo Stadium
The Tokyo Stadium is a stadium located in Tokyo, mostly used for football.
It was founded in March 2001 and it was the first stadium in Japan that
offered its naming rights, which were sold to Ajinomoto with a 5-year
contract. In February 2008, the name changed from Ajinomoto Stadium to Tokyo
Stadium. The stadium is the home of FC Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy. During the
2002 FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia's national football team used the stadium
as their main training ground, although it did not host an actual FIFA World
Cup match.
