Osaka Expo '70 Stadium

The Osaka Expo '70 Stadium, also known as the Banpaku Stadium, is a stadium in Suita, a city in the Osaka Prefecture. It is in the Expo Memorial Park, the site of Expo '70. The stadium is the home ground of Gamba Osaka, one of the most successful football clubs in Japan. The stadium's north end is terraced and is used by Gamba Osaka's most vocal supporters. The owner of the stadium is the Commemorative Organization for the Japan World Exposition '70. The football and athletics stadium opened in 1972 and was renovated in 1993, 1996 and 2006.
