Žalgiris Stadium
Žalgiris Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Vilnius. It holds 15 000 and is being used by FC Vilnius and former Lithuanian champions FK Žalgiris Vilnius. It is the largest football stadium in Lithuania. The stadium is named after the Battle of Grunwald and was built by Germans on the site of a former Jewish Cemetery. In 1950 the stadium was ready for football and other events. After independence it was used by the Lithuania national football team, but in recent years the national team doesn't play at the Žalgiris Stadium anymore.
