Estadio Universitario
Estadio Universitario, nicknamed El Volcán, is a stadium located in San Nicolás, a city in the metropolitan area of Monterrey. The stadium is the home of Tigres de la UANL. It hosted several matches of the 1986 FIFA World Cup. The wave was introduced into football during the FIFA World Cup in this stadium. It has also hosted matches of Tigres de la UANL during their home games in the Copa Libertadores. the prestigious South American football tournament. Estadio Universitario was also, for a short period, the home venue of rivals CF Monterrey.
