Estadio Morelos
Estadio Morelos is named in honour of one of the most important Mexican War of Independence leader, José María Morelos y Pavón. It is one of the Mexico's main football stadiums, having capacity of 41 000 seats. It was built in 1989 and is located in the city of Morelia, Michoacán. Monarcas Morelia is the tenant of the stadium. The team, founded in November 1924, is owned by the TV broadcasting company TV Azteca.The football stadium was built at the foot of the mountain Cerro del Quinceo. It is nicknamed El Coloso del Quinceo.
