Abe Lenstra Stadion
The Abe Lenstra Stadion is a football stadium in Heerenveen. It is currently used mostly for the home matches of SC Heerenveen. The stadium was named after Abe Lenstra and built in 1993 with an initial capacity of 14 000 seats. Over the years the capacity grew to 26 000, making it one of the biggest stadiums in the Netherlands. The first football game at the Abe Lenstra Stadion was in 1994, a match between SC Heerenveen and PSV Eindhoven. It was the first Eredivisie game for PSV Eindhoven's Ronaldo, the famous Brazilian striker.
