Gelredome
The Gelredome is the home stadium of Vitesse in the city of Arnhem. It was built in 1998, featuring a retractable roof as well as a convertible pitch that can be retracted when unused during concerts or other events held at the stadium. It was the first stadium in the Netherlands with a retractable roof and a convertible pitch. Its capacity is 29 000 spectators and the stadium has a climate control system. The Gelredome was also one of the venues for the UEFA Euro 2000 football tournament held in the Netherlands and Belgium. It replaced Nieuw Monnikenhuize, the previous home of Vitesse, which had a maximum capacity of 18 000.
