Estádio D. Afonso Henriques
Estádio D. Afonso Henriques is a football stadium in Guimarães. It was expanded and refurbished for the UEFA Euro 2004 tournament, and it seats 29 000 people, making it the major stadium in Guimarães. It is the home of Vitória SC and is named after the first King of Portugal and Guimarães-native D. Afonso Henriques. The stadium was formerly known as Estádio Municipal de Guimarães.
Vitória SC's biggest supporters group are the White Angels, their motto is Somos Únicos, We Are Unique.
The White Angels are also known to be one of the few supporters groups that has no preference for any of the big three, FC Porto, SL Benfica, and Sporting Clube de Portugal. Guimarães doesn't have houses of the big clubs. The attempts of opening any in the city led to the houses being completely trashed. This shows the pride of the supporters for their home and its independence, even though it sometimes goes to far and ends up in some violent acts.
A self confessed White Angel is Fernando Meira, who played at the club. Meira, as the captain of VfB Stuttgart, raised the 2007 German championship trophy, holding a scarf of Vitória SC that stated Somos Únicos.
