Estádio Municipal de Aveiro
Estádio Municipal de Aveiro is a football stadium in Aveiro. It was designed to host several matches during the UEFA Euro 2004 football tournament. Tomás Taveira is the architect of the stadium. He also designed Estádio José Alvalade, the home of Sporting Clube de Portugal, and Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, the home of União de Leiria. The stadium is very colorful and has an athletics track. It seats 30 000 people and is known as the home of SC Beira-Mar, the most popular football club from Aveiro. Former football star Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, also known as the Black Panther or the Black Pearl, used to play for SC Beira-Mar for one season.
