TEDA Football Stadium
The TEDA Football Stadium is a stadium in Tianjin. It holds 36 000 people and was built in 2004. Tianjin Teda FC, one of the big football clubs in the country, is the only tenant at the stadium. The club is owned by the TEDA Group. The club name is derived from the initials of the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. Tianjin Teda FC were founded in 1957 and has set up a sister-city relationship with Melbourne Victory FC from Australia. Tianjin Teda FC and Melbourne Victory FC both play at the Lord Mayor's Cup once a year, which is an annual off season match between the two clubs.
