Beijing Fengtai Stadium

The Beijing Fengtai Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Beijing. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Beijing Guoan, one of the most popular clubs in the country. The stadium holds 31 000. Beijing Guoan was formed in 1992, as a result of the Chinese football reform. The club was set up by the CITIC Guoan Group and the Beijing Municipal Sports Committee. In 2003, the club signed an endorsement contract with the Hyundai Motor Company and the football team changed its name to Beijing Hyundai. The contract ended in early 2006 and the team's original name was restored.
In 2007, Beijing Guoan played a friendly in front of a full stadium against FC Barcelona, one of the most famous sports clubs in the world. The home side lost 3-0.
