Lokomotiv Central Stadium
Lokomotiv Central Stadium is a football stadium in Moscow. It is the home stadium of FC Lokomotiv Moscow, one of the main football clubs in Russia. The stadium was reconstructed in 2002 and holds 28 000 people, making it one of the largest stadiums in the country. During the communist rule FC Lokomotiv Moscow was owned by the Soviet Ministry of Transportation through the Russian Railways.
It was founded in 1923 as Club of the October Revolution. In 1936 the club changed name to the recent name, FC Lokomotiv Moscow. During the existence of the Soviet Union the club was part of the Lokomotiv Voluntary Sports Society.
