Shinnik Stadium
Shinnik Stadium is a stadium in Yaroslavl. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Shinnik Yaroslavl. The stadium holds 22 000 people, making it the biggest stadium in the city. FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, also known as Shina, which is Russian for Tyre, was known as Khimik Yaroslavl between 1957 and 1960. The club is known as the most successful club from Yaroslavl, the city located at the confluence of the Volga River and the Kotorosl River, which used to be the capital of Russia when Poland occupied Moscow.
