Daegu World Cup Stadium

The Daegu World Cup Stadium, also known as the Blue Arc, is a football stadium located in Daegu. Construction was completed in May 2001. It was used as a venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the most watched sporting event in the world. The third place match between South Korea and Turkey was held at the Daegu World Cup Stadium. It is the home of Daegu FC, the only tenant of the stadium. Daegu World Cup Stadium also hosts the Daegu Marathon annually in April of each year. It has seating for 65 000 people, making it one of the largest stadiums in the country.
