Seongnam 2 Stadium

Seongnam 2 Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Seongnam. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma. The stadium holds 16 000 people and was built in 2001. Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma began playing at the Dongdaemun Stadium in Seoul, but after winning their third consecutive title in 1995, the league officials declared that the team had to move elsewhere. In 1996 the club won the AFC Champions League and it won several national championships after the team moved away from Seoul.
