Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán is a football stadium in Seville. It is the home stadium of Sevilla FC. It was the venue for the 1982 FIFA World Cup game between Germany and France. The Spanish national football team is very successful against other international teams in this stadium. In European competition, Sevilla FC is also very successful in their own Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. The stadium holds 45 000 and was built in 1957. It replaced Estadio Nervión. The stadium is nicknamed La Bombonera de Nervión due to the neighborhood where the stadium is situated.
