Letzigrund
Letzigrund is a stadium in Zürich and the home of FC Zürich. It is also the temporarily home of Grasshopper-Club Zürich, while their stadium is under construction. The stadium opened in February 1925 and was owned by FC Zürich. During the Great Depression, ownership changed to the city of Zürich in 1937 which has operated it since. It underwent extensive remodelling in 1947, 1958, 1973, and 1984. Lighting was added in 1973. The first open air concert was in 1996. The stadium was renovated again and reopened in August 2007. Its first football game was FC Zürich versus rivals Grasshopper-Club Zürich in September.
