Stade de Tourbillon
Stade de Tourbillon is a stadium in Sion and is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home of FC Sion, founded in 1909 and known as the most popular sports club in the city. The football club won several national championships and cups. Stade de Tourbillon holds 16 000 people, making it the biggest stadium in Sion. The stadium, which has standing places and seats, was built in 1968 and renovated in 1989. The city of Sion is the owner of the stadium. FC Sion has plans to move to a new stadium in the near future.
