Aleppo International Stadium

Aleppo International Stadium in Aleppo is the Syrian national stadium. It opened in 2007 and it is owned by the government of Syria. Al-Ittihad Aleppo, one of the major football clubs in Syria, are the only tenant. Al-Ittihad Aleppo played a friendly match against Turkish giants Fenerbahçe SK in April 2007 for the opening of the stadium which ended in a 2-2 draw. The president has attended the opening of the stadium. Aleppo International Stadium has a capacity of 75 000, making it the largest stadium in Syria and one of the largest stadiums in the Middle East.
