Metropolitano de Fútbol de Lara
The Metropolitano de Fútbol de Lara is a football stadium located in the heart of the city of Barquisimeto. It was built by the Venezuelan company Jantesa. The stadium has a capacity of 40 000 and a parking lot for 4 000 vehicles. In 2005, the CONMEBOL chose the 2007 Copa América venues. Barquisimeto wasn't chosen as one of the hosts. In 2006 the CONMEBOL decided to add Barquisimeto as a venue for the football tournament. The Metropolitano de Fútbol de Lara is the home of Guaros de Lara FC, a club that promoted to the Primera División Venezolana one year after they were founded.
