Estadio Olímpico Luis Ramos

Estadio Olímpico Luis Ramos is a stadium located in the city of Puerto La Cruz. It was opened in December 1965 by the former president of Venezuela, Raúl Leoni. The old stadium that occupied the area was demolished and construction for a new stadium started from scratch. A modern football stadium was needed for the 2007 Copa América. There were three matches at the stadium. One of those was the Quarter Final match in which Brazil defeated Chile 6-1. The stadium was designed to have a spectator capacity of 40 000. Deportivo Anzoátegui is the only tenant of the stadium.
